These courses are aimed at new or inexperienced paddlers with their own craft, looking to gain some basic rescue skills and knowledge. This is to enable them to select and enjoy a safe paddle session in a sheltered water environment. Courses are 3 hours long and can be certificated if required. Suitable for Sit On Top Kayaks, Closed Cockpit Kayaks, and Paddle boards.
Cost: £35 + £5 if you need certificate.
Sea Kayak Leader Training (Tidal)
12th – 13th October 2024
Aimed at aspirate Sea Kayak Leaders to gain valuable skills practice and leadership experience. Jersey is a perfect location for this owing to our varied coastline and large tidal range. Giving you plenty of opportunities to practice the skills required to pass your Sea Kayak Leader Assessment.
Cost £250 + BCAB Certificate Fee
Sea Kayak Leader Assessment (Tidal)
19th – 20th October 2024
Aimed at aspirate Sea Kayak Leaders who feel they are ready for assessment. Advanced registration is with British Canoeing/Paddle UK is required, where all prerequisites will be checked. Ideally you will be able to bring your own equipment and kayak. But we also have a fly in option where you use our kayaks, paddles, flares etc.

Jersey Explorer Week 21st – 25th October 2024
Aimed at Intermediate to Advanced Sea Kayakers
Come and explore the great paddling opportunities in and around Jersey. You’ll have a chance to play in tidal races around the island and hone your navigational skills and trip planning. Weather/swell permitting there is also opportunities for exploring caves and offshore reefs. This is a perfect area to build your day trip log book if your working toward the Paddle UK (Adv) Sea Kayak Leader award. Spring tides are also a ideal time for a circumnavigation of the island with tidal assistance.
Getting here and away:
You can bring your own kit via ferry or fly in and use our kayaks and kit from many regional UK airports. Which is a time efficient way to get more paddling in for your days away from home.
Cost: £575 for the 5 days guided paddling with you own equipment
or
£650 using our kayaks and kit.
There is an option to be assessed for other awards during this time. Such as Sea Kayak Award and Coastal Sea Kayak Award. (At additional cost)
